A Unique Board of Directors Seeks to Expand

Community Options for Children and Families provides respite and family support services to families that have a child or adult family member with a developmental disability. We are a unique organization that operates by consensus with Board and Staff interacting to complement and support one another, sharing the ideals and responsibilities of the organization. Our Board is committed to expanding, while ensuring all members have a deep personal connection and a sense of caring about people with disabilities and their families. We specifically want members with experience in grant application writing, fundraising, financial management or public relations. If you are a parent or grandparent of a child with a disability, or a friend, relative or other community member who is interested in helping us provide support to our families, we would welcome your involvement. Please contact Jim Chapman, Executive Director, at jchapman@communityoptions.bc.ca or John Bird, Board President, at jwbird@telus.net for additional information and send a copy of your resume if you wish to apply. If you know someone who you think would fit well with our team of dedicated members, please forward this information to that person.

With appreciation,

The Board and Staff of Community Options for Children and Families
