Community Options is a Host Agency, registered with Community Living British Columbia (CLBC). As such, we work in partnership with families and people with disabilities who receive Individualized Funding through CLBC to help them create the future they desire and deserve.
Individualized Funding is money allocated by CLBC to support an individual’s disability-related needs. It is a way for people to purchase or create the kind of help that they need to be active in their communities. Individualized Funding puts the person at the center of their own support system, giving them control over the decisions that affect their life and offering them a broader range of choices.
In acting as a Host Agency, Community Options relieves families who receive Individualized Funding of the burden of being the “employer” of numerous support workers. This allows them to enjoy the benefits of Individualized Funding without having to take on the added administrative responsibilities.
